Snow tires, older alloy sizes, compatibility w/ 97 CSE Posted by John Fitzgerald [Email] (#77) [Profile/Gallery] (more from John Fitzgerald) on Mon, 8 Sep 2003 10:02:39 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
It's that time of year again -- and I'd rather not have to look at steel wheels on my 97 Aero and 97 CSE for the winter months. Curious if there's any problem using alloys from an 87 900T as snows on my 97 CSE. The 900 alloys are 5 1/2 J 15 H2, the (two sets) snow tires are 195 65 15 and 185 65 15. This might be a little skinny; aside from a little odo error, will these wheels fit ok? They are 4 lug OEM wheels -- any idea about offset?
I also might be able to get a set of alloys (oem) from an 87 9kT -- I don't have these here (yet) but I think there are also 5 1/2 J 15 H 4 lug. Any comments from those who've learned 'the hard way'?
