There is always debate on whether or not to resurface the rotors.
If you have 40K on them, I would resurface(I did without any issues)
If you decide to change them out then use Brembo rotors matched to Axxis pads. I did and have absolutely no brake dust(the one thing about a Saab is the high dust buildup of most pads including original pads). The performance of the Axxis pads is outstanding for grip and no noise. The dustless factor is an added plus.
I have tried several different brands of pads prior to the Axxis and non of them gave me the total satisfaction I wanted. It was always a trade off(dust for braking power, noise for low dust etc.)
