Found the vacuum leak.. made it worse. Kind of urgent.

Well, I found my vacuum leak. The "blue" hose coming from the control valve (the one next to the battery) had broken off at the throttle body. I bought 10 feet of new hose and set about replacing all the bad ones. I got to the aforementioned "blue" hose and gave it a tug, expecting it to just pop off, like all the other ones did. It popped, for sure. The plastic end of the control valve, where the "blue" line and the line from the blow-off valve connect, popped right off. The little brass piece inside went flying. Luckily, I found it. But if there was a spring, it's long gone.
I'm assuming it's bad to drive the car without the valve. Can I just glue the plastic end back on, or do I have to order a new one? And, where does that "blue" line connect to the throttle body? I've been looking for a good half hour and can't find it.
Thanks.
