Check the archive. There are many posts on water pump replacement. Naturally you have to take the serpentine belt off.
Buy one more set of rubber o-rings. There are two, one for the connection to the engine block, another to the heater tube. Lubricate the o-rings well with vaseline before attaching the water pump to the block. The O-rings tear easily. Tighten the three tork screws to 15 ft-lbs. If you detect slight binding while fitting the pump up to the two o-ring connections, chances are they are torn and would leak.
Trouble is, you won't know until the belt is fitted up and coolant is added, at which time you have to take everything down and start again. If you don't have the extra set of O-rings, you'll be stranded a few more days waiting for them to come in the mail.
