Don't put the Tech 2 on a "piedestal" for those older Posted by SWEDECAR [Email] (#112) [Profile/Gallery] (more from SWEDECAR) on Fri, 19 Sep 2003 08:41:49 In Reply to: Getting TCS Manual, Dan L, Fri, 19 Sep 2003 08:06:22 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
cars.
Tech 2 is needed to do some work (calibrate and reset) but it wont relay real live data when driving to the extend where you can see solenoids and switches working.
Actually, with the ETS (TCS) computer you can't even start the car properly with Tech 2 hooked up to the ETS (TCS) computer. The car runs even worse than in limp home mode.
Not until 1996 with the introduction of OBD2 emission regulation did the car manufacturers (SAAB/VOLVO) starting to support live data transmission in a fashion where you can sort of see it live.
