My BPV is partially failing. Now that I am at altitude my car is boosting up to 20 - 21 psi and when it gets that high I get fluttering sound. The needle on my boost guage also vibrates a lot when I hear the sound. When boost does not go that high I don't get that noise. My VAC is now at 15 when it used to be at 20 at idle so I think this is another give away. Make sure to check the vacume line goes to the top of the BPV before getting a whole new valve. I also cleaned the BPV by removing it and spraying it with carb cleaner. This fixed it for a little because the valve was pretty oily. About a week later the symptoms came back so I am giving up on this crap valves and getting a forged one. Note: A similar Bosch diaphram valve is used on Audi S4's and they only have to stand up to about 7 psi a piece and they bearly last 5000 miles.
