as far as I know, the internals are identical for NA and turbo trans, but of course the final drive is different. The Master tech in town did a tear down of my old turbo trans and my new NA, no strength differences.
For me oddly enough, the NA trans is helping the brutal torque surge, by getting up the RPM range a bit quicker (in lower gears) before the turbo spools to max psi. A little less lag, but no 20 psi at 3000RPM. This is a bit timing related I suppose as well.
