The ignition swithches in the 9000 are known to fail eventually, but they are inexpensive (from site sponsors) and fairly easy to replace, check the archives.
The ignition switch will send power to some of the relays, so you may want to check if anything is happening when you turn the key. The "ignition lock relay" is #G on the panel behind the passenger air bag (US) on 1994 cars, not sure what year you have. Check the post a bit further down called "Relay map for '94 9000 CSE".
