aftermarket stereo to sound like 9000 factory...how?

I have a 1993 9000 with a factory stereo system that is on its way out. I've always like the sound of this system. The front speakers sound good and the back sound good too with the amp giving a little extra kick if you will. Because my current radio has seen its better days, I wanted to put in newer technology in the car so that I can play recorded music from my computer. However, I still would like to maintain a similar sound as the factory system. What do I have to do to get this? Will a radio/tuner/cd player all in one do it? Would just a radio/tuner/cd player have built in amps to give the rear speakers extra power? Or,do I have to go out and get an amp. And if the unit says that it has 200w total, how good of a reflection is that of sound quality of the unit? Any advice would be appreciated... I am pretty clueless when it comes to radios so feel free to handle me with kid gloves should you want to share some advice with me.
TIA.
