You can just get the motor w/out the entire sending unit for about $145 U.S., just did one in my '96. Part # on my invoice is 88 22 017 B. My friend's an indy so I'm not sure where his supplier was, try a dealer (have fun) or possibly Europarts. When you pull the unit out of the tank you have to go slowly, unit needs to be rotated to get out and it's really easy to break the plastic pieces (like I did) that hold the whole unit together. Also, as you slosh gas on the 0-ring around the opening, the 0-ring tends to expand making it a bear to seat it when you go to re-install the new unit. Take the 0-ring out, dry it off, and let it sit somplace warm and dry, preferably overnite if it's apart that long and it will shrink back down to it's original size. Makes re-assembly a lot easier. Good luck.
