'89 9kS - LH 2.4
On Saturday, I was driving home from downtown. It was in the high 70's and the car was running a little warm. No big deal. The CEL comes on solid as I am exiting the highway. When I take my foot off the gas, the CEL flashes 4 times in sequence over and over. Step on the gas - solid CEL.
I pulled the code when I got home - 13112 - O2 compensator circuit problem at idle. Wierd thing is, it was on when moving, not at idle.
The 900 Bentley book says a flashing CEL in the LH series indicates a fault in the EZK ignition system. I ran through all the component checks and the only issue seemed to be that the coil resistance was higher (8900 ohms) than the range indicated (7200-8200). I popped in a spare and started it. The engined warmed until the O2 came on line, then boom, same CEL sequences.
After letting it sit overnight, all seems normal now, except my little hesitation issue seems to have returned in a different form. Now it hesitates slightly from a stop when the engine is cold instead of when it's warm.
Any thoughts greatly appreciated.
