info. Today I installed a boost gauge in the
center console of my '95 CS (lpt--->FPT).
I attempeted to run the hose the same way as it
is done on my Aero (through the aquarium).
But, on the Aero after the hose gets into the aquarium
it hooks directly to a fitting on the back of the instrument
panel for the stock boost gauge.
So, I ended up removing the center-console side-panel
(two press-in fasteners and a screw). I pulled back some
insulation on the firewall near where the shift-rod passes
through the firewall. I drilled a hole, the diameter of the hose,
about an inch above the shift-rod grommet through the firewall
and the insulation on the motor side of the wall.
Fed, from the inside, a length of silicon hose through the hole and
into the engine compartment. Hooked the hose to the spare
pressure-tap on the rear passenger's side of the intake manifold.
Other end to the new gauge.
I wired the gauge lights to the lighter-lamp wires, so the light
would be controlled by the reostat.
Hope this helps your project.
