i've installed a sirius system in my 95cs. removed stock saab radio and replaced it with a kenwood unit and satellite receiver. i no longer play cassettes and my experience with saab cd players is that they are somewhat prone to skipping.
if you want to retain your stock radio, a satellite receiver with a fm converter will allow you to run the audio thru a unused fm channel.
installation of tuner, cd receiver, and attennae are well within the capabilities of the average DIY. most units are small enough to fit almost anywhere. check out crutchfield for both sirius and xm units.
i now listen to AM only for traffic and weather and FM for "all things considered" and "morning edition". if i want to listen to music, it will always be the satellite system... there is no comparison.
