My intake camshaft bearings seem alarmingly worn >>>

Hello everyone,
I was replacing two noisy lifters on the intake side and I noticed that the intake camshaft is about 1-2mm off-center on the transmission end.
That is, the bearings seem to be wearing away so that the intake cam has actually shifted back 1-2mm towards the intake. The sprocket end of the camshaft is still centered in the bearings but the transmission end is not. The cam bearing caps are visibly wearing thin so that the wall separating the camshaft from the oil passage between the bolt hole and the cam is substantially thinner on one side then the other.
The last bearing cap on the transmission end is so worn that the wall separating the camshaft from the oil passage has become thin enough to chip away in small flakes. The camshaft had a circumferencial (scoring) mark at the place where it touches the jagged portion of that cap.
Am I screwed? Can the bearing caps be replaced separately like the lifters? Would this even help? The oil seems to be flowing fine to this area and I use synthetic and change it frequenety. The head has been refurbished at least once.
Any thoughts or ideas are appreciated.
Thank you.
