Don't see why you would want to go thtrough the trouble of uncoupling tranny from engine, undo the 4 mounts and then it comes up as one unit(remove the other stuff holding it down too and you're good to go). Don't know what you mean by input shaft... both your CV joints will have to come out (from the engine side)(you will have to take out the 3 bolts holding the ball joints so it will allow the axles to slide out. After that remove the power steering pump, alternator, and disconnect the exhaust right at the turbo, where it angles down and goes under, at the O2 sensor, i found that to be easiest. Also will have to remove radiator(with fan assembly as one unit), AC compressor. Start from removing the inner fender wells... Good luck!
