From the charts I know, a '94 turbo would be the Trionic system, which has no air mass sensor. There is a MAP sensor - it requires voltage to produce a signal.
5 flashes is the TPS, and 6 flashes is the O2 sensor. I'll have to check a manual to get the proper values, but the TPS is, I believe, just a variable resistor. You could check that with an ohmmeter. Of course, it can also be adjusted incorrectly, or there is a wire problem between it and the Trionic box, or the Trionic box connector is loose. The fault codes are rudimentary at best, so they can give you an idea what to look at.
The O2 sensor can't really be checked without the car running, and the sensor connected. If you put the meter on volts, and measure from ground to the signal wire on the O2 sensor, you should see a voltage that swings between 0.2 and about 0.9 volts, averaging about 0.5 volts.
However, again, the flash codes are pretty dumb. For example, you could have a vacuum leak, so the engine is running very lean. The O2 sensor would see this very lean exhaust, and command more fuel. But the O2 sensor can command only so much extra fuel. If the sensor is commanding as much fuel as it can, but the leak is so bad that you're still running very lean, the Trionic will declare the sensor bad.
I'll try and drag out my Trionic manual and see if I can look up some simple volt/ohm meter checks on the sensors. But those are starting points at best.
