Hey,
1989 saab 9000 turbo, non DI (distributor), 2.0, 5spd, stock.
ok i'm having problems with my car, have had problems for 8 months, i parked it, did the headgasket, and put it back together (had no money, used all the old parts, other than the new headgasket), i'm just now getting around to working on it again now that i have some cash. heres my problems:
the car runs like crap at idle, one of the wires to the idle stabalizer controller was off, so i put that on, but no change, i think theres so much gas in the #1 cylinder that it can't fire even if it wanted to, you can look down and see a small puddle of fuel in there. so going to fix the wire to the stabilizer, and put a new stabilizer in (have a spare), then pull the plugs for a night and let the gas evaporate.
secondly, it runs great, GREAT at higher end, over 3000rpm, it hauls! but under that and at idle, runs horrible, i also found what appears to be a leak in the fuel rail, next to the #1 fuel injector, at the bolt in line spot. so going to tighten the bolt and clean that area and watch for more leakage.
third, the clutch feels...non existant, if i pump it, it seems to work for a little bit, would you guys suspect the master cylinder, slave cylinder, or clutch itself? i was thinking the slave cylinder but...
i would like to get it running 100% again before december, so any suggestions would be great.
