I got into my car this morning and the "check radiator" light was on (this has happened several time in the past week and I checked but saw no difference in the anti freeze level) and after I drove for about 15 minutes
the car suddenly hesitated and strained and shook and seemed like it would stall. I had to find a gas station and drove about 5 more minutes and we saw that the anti freeze level was WAY down to almost the last third. Anti freeze was put in but when i shut the car off, I heard a buzzing sound. Also, the motor looked like it was shaking. I started it back up and heard a "pop" like a small backfire and drove the 2 miles home with the car losing power all the way but it didn't stall. I notoced also that the temperature gauge seemed to trickle down to cold when it had been reading normal. The car shook and sort of hesitated all the way home. ANY IDEAS?
I'm having it towed to my mechanic about 15 miles away tomorrow and hope someone can shed some light on this odd occurance!!!!
