If there are outstanding faults, you'll see that as a Check Engine light, Airbag light, ABS light, etc.
It's normal for these lights to come on for a few seconds when you first start the car; in fact, make sure they do, so you know the bulbs aren't burned out or removed. Just as long as they go out after a few seconds and stay out while you're driving the car, then there are no system faults.
As usual with any car, make sure everything works - run all the electrics. Make sure the heat and A/C works, that you can switch between Defrost, vents, and floor, and that the air does indeed blow out of the right places at a given setting. Make sure you can select different fan speeds. Make sure the seat heaters work.
The engine should shift smoothly. Automatic trannies should shift very smoothly. Automatics are weak spots in the 9000. When the car is warm, turn to Defrost, heat on, and sniff the vents. The air shouldn't smell of coolant, or there may be a heater core leak.
Other than that, it should drive nice, accelerate smoothly, stop well.
