Hopefully Lucky for you.. BUT how is that actually possible??
Sodium Valves normally don't lose substantial chunks of metal...what 80% loss usually means in English.. and the process that leads to that type of failure is not subtle, as in hard to ignore while it's happening.
Personally I'd be suspicious that yer engines rings and/or lands are not seriously 'coked' if not outright damaged/destroyed... Yes we all know Saabs(short blocks at least :-) Live long.. but a 'new' cylinder head onna used engine has proven to be 'kiss 'o death' for many Decades now.
