It would be ok to use in the heat of summer when you need a thicker, more heat resistant grade of oil. But the 15 part of the 15/40 number tells you how viscous the oil is at temperature and that is a thicker than normal oil, making the engine harder to start in colder weather. This is because the starter will have to overcome a lot of extra resistance when trying to turn over the engine with all that thick oil in there, and the engine will be starved for oil longer since the oil flow will initially not be as good, causing more wear to the engine. You want a 10w/30 or a 5w/30 or less if you live in a particularly cold area . Once the engine heats up, it is the second number that determines the oil's ability to handle heat and how viscous it will stay, the higher the number the thicker the oil. That would be a good oil for a turbocar in summertime because it places higher demands on the oil.
