I don't know how to access the image. The "pinion bearing", actually one of the secondary shaft bearings is somewhat undersized but is rather easy to replace although the case has to be opened up. The leftside outside carrier bearing can be replaced w/o taking the transmission out but there is the inner bearing beside the ringgear which may take more of the load but is very well lubricated. You may try to chane the one bearing first which doesn't require the removal of the entire transmission, maybe you get lucky. I myself always replace all bearings whenever I take the transmission out for a clutch job, the bearings are quite reasonable and I find that the R&R of the transmission justifies this additional expense.
