Yes it can, at least the one in my 92 9000. It came with a flexible square drive cable with a small crank on the end of it. What you do is get under the back of the seat and isert the flex cable into the end of the frist motor you see and then turn it. Progress will be very slow, but it will move the seat forward or aft depending which way you turn it.
