I am guessing you have the Sanden 7H15 compressor. The r134a has probably departed already from the failure of the shaft seal.
You need a new compressor and receiver/drier. You can DIY the compressor and receiver/drier and have the system evacuated and charged by a shop. Just install the receiver/drier without hooking it up (or opening the ports). Let the shop hook up the receiver/drier when they are ready to pump it down with a vacuum. Yes, vacuum is mandatory.
It's not really a hard job. The compressor and clutch are one assembly held on with three bolts. The tough part could be freeing the hose connections at the old receiver/drier.
You must flush before installing a new compressor. Search the board about the ac conversion to r134a and you will find posts that describe flushing. I use brake cleaner in a gallon jug and a garden (insect) sprayer.
