It is good there are records, but based on SAAB automatic history, you will be replacing the auto trans very soon at a cost of $2K-4K for a rebuild. Considering you will spending the money soon, you might want to look for a manual with less miles for $5K-6K. I just bought a 1997 9000CSE for $7500 with 63K miles in MINT condition with a new auto trans @ 52K (2/2003)that was replaced at SAAB under their extended warranty. It also had the FULL records from SAAB due to the extended warranty. One of the reasons I like SAAB is there horrible resale value for such a nice car, as long as you are not the original purchaser. I have a few friends in the car business and they say they really do not like to take SAAB's in for trade due to how hard they are to sell and end up wholesaling all of them or selling them to the first offer that will break even.
