Hello there
I have a 9000 CD 2.3 (non-turbo) and yesterday there was suddenly something going wrong with the engine. I live in Sweden so I'm sorry
if my english is not as good as it should be..
I was driving in town when the car suddenly started to loose power.
I pressed down the clutch and the ening idel was very, very uneven, 1000 rpm down to almost zero, up and down. When I pressed the gaspedal it hesitated very much before picking up rpm.
Today When I started it (it starts fine) the check engine lit up and the idle was about 1600 rpm. My neighbor disconnected the negative batterypole and when I restarted the enging the Check enging light did not light up but the idel war very poor and it hesitated alot when I drove away. I reved the enginge to 4000 rpm and then the Check enging light lit up again and the idle went up to 1600-1700 rpm. The engine doesent misfire when reving it high. I reved it to 5500 rpm and it doesen lack power on high rpms.
Any hints or tips what this could be? My neighbor checked the fuelpump and it runs fine. He checked th o2 sensor and it was also ok. He also tested to replace DI cassette with his new one and it did not help.
He suggested the Air mass meter? Or fuel pressure? Could it be that?
