I just finished installing my Crimestopper CS2011RS in my 92 9k. I've installed 4 remote starters, this was the 5th, and absolute hardest. I'll be writing up the entire procedure soon. To answer your question, the best way to get to it is to remove the front facia and upper and lower steering/ignition housing units. No simple task. I suppose you could reach the wires somehow from the wiring bundle from beneath, but you'd have to probe alot of them to find the right one as many colors are duplicated and its a plain PITA to see anything there. I removed the facia, pulled the plug pack off the ignition, finagled it over to the radio area and setup my connections there. If you've got an alarm unit, you can (and I would recommend) you remove the factory alarm and use the connections there as it makes life much easier. I did things by the book, tach monitor install, all soldered connections, nice wiring, and it took me two whole days, and I haven't done the door locks yet. I managed to setoff my SRS light too.... GRRRR... anyone have a Tech II in the DC area?
