but I was told that the upgrade available from genuine saab isn't compatible with cars from 1993. I also have a 93(except I have an aero) but after much research, the only person who reprograms the ECU for 93 cars is Maptun which is a Swedish company with an american supplier. There upgrades are very safe and reliable, so I think that the tranny could handle the slight increase of 35 horsepower. There was a CD made in 92 called the Carlsson which I think had 225hp and an auto, so I would guess that if this is as far as you want to go, you'll be safe. I would also recommend a 3" exhaust system and some type of air filter to allow the car to use the new software. I hope this helps.
