Our '89 9KT was just totaled out from what could have been a very bad wreck. I think getting T-Boned in some other car at 55mph could have been much worse. I'm here to say (and so is my wife, who was driving, and my 2 year old grandson), that although I will miss the car, I'm glad she got hit in it rather than my little VW Jetta. That Saab took a direct hit in the driver's door, and withstood it well enough to prevent any serious injury at all. What I am wondering is whether or not it is worth buying back from the insurance company and parting it out. It looked and ran absolutley like new. Aside from the "slight little problem" with the driver's side, it still has many usable parts, incuding the seats, etc., and the motor. I would like some input rather soon as to whether or not salvaging parts is economically sensible or not. I'm not sure I want a half-eaten car sitting around in my yard if parts are hard to sell.
