Make size your top criteria - go for the 3", it's going to have more than 40% increase in flow area than a 2.5". Then, when you factor in the price of a JT, $250, it's a no-brainer - it's well made, it's made of the same material stock systems are, and it's less than half the cost of a comparable Abbott item. The increased flow has to correlate with backpressure and heat, both of which will be significantly reduced, over the life of the engine. What you do after the downpipe and cat' (a decent universal 3" cat' is well under $100) is up to you. Most of the benefits of increased flow rate diminish after the cat' - you could put a converging/reducer section and run the stock muffler/s, or whatever you want. That sounds like a very nice Aero - with a larger exhaust, not only will you reduce heat and mechanical stresses, but you'll probably feel a little performance increase. Anyway, my point in all this is, when it comes to saab turbo exhausts - size counts! Also, you'll need to get a good shop that can bend 3" pipe and fabricate sections, according to what you want. Fortunately, I live in the N'east where there's plenty of good shops that can do this.
