Never heard of Albany Brake pads. Two that seem to find good favor on this board are both made by PBR. I've used and like the PBR Deluxe pad. Very good grip, even when cold, long lasting, and cost ~$30/pr from site sponsors. The PBR Metalmasters(MM) are well liked by some, and after a problem on my Aero, I pulled them after 3000mi and put them on my CSE. They seem to be working fine. On the Aero, the first few stops on a cold morning were thrilling, as it seemed I was going to roll right into the intersection. So, you should do well with either the MM or Deluxe. Think I would be inclined to return the pads to Autozone and buy Deluxe.
Going from memory, I think the caliper pin on the fronts is held by a hex bolt. Could be the allen is used there, but the important allen to remember is on the rear brake. You use a 4mm allen to back off the caliper. On the fronts, I just use an 8 inch c-clamp to press the caliper back with the pad still in place.
If this is your first brake job, I would go to the library and bone up on some general brake repair instructions. Then review Quasi's site and do a search on this board for specific instructions. A Haynes manual for $20 is a good investment too. You'll save $100 plus on your first job. Just take your time to do it right.
Also, I jack up both wheels and take them off doing one brake at a time. Then if I forget exactly how they go back together, all I've got to do is look at the other wheel. Good time to flush the brake fluid too. I've found the Motive Power Bleeder well worth the $45 spent at eEuroparts. Brakes should be bled at least every 2 yrs.
