The Aero lives for another day!!!

Once again, thanks to all for their advice on getting my 94 Aero running again. To George, I didn't follow your advice at first because I wanted to find a bigger problem, but thumping on the fuel tank (actually thumping on the top of the fuel tank by the pump) freed the motor. Definitely something I'd recommend for someone stranded. More on this as I continue.
TonyJ, after reading your advice I finally whacked the tank by the pump and VOILLA, pump starts grinding away. As you suggested, it sounds like it's grinding away at a piece of scrap from within the fuel tank that got caught in the impeller, just like the way the fish clogged the system on the fish tank in "Finding Nemo" (got kids?) Had to work on it a few times to get it clear but it finally sounded fine and the engine started and ran fine. I test drove it for about a mile to start, and will test it more soon. As some may have read in my previous posts, I do have more cars than I need, so transportation is not an issue for me. However I really enjoy driving my SAABs the most.
My next step here is to clean the fuel system to see if this completely cures the problem. (I have an 87 9K which is still on its original fuel pump at 199k miles, and cleaned the system once.) I plan to use Berrymans Chemtool B12 in the fuel tank; this worked fine on my 87 when it started sputtering like clogged injectors or clogged filter. Does anyone know for sure if this will be harmful to any sensors in the fuel system?
Thanks again for your advice.
