I have been working under the hood of my wifes 90 9000 165Kmlies way to often lately. With my work schedule i have only been able to work on this car on Sundays, and not having a parts store or my local garage to call has been an issue, so i took a long weekend to get this fixed but !!!!!!!!!

The starter on the 9000 has been starting and than quitting before the engine fires, bad solenoid. So i got a starter from the local junk yard - "it will fit, no problems." well it didn't, must have come from a 2.0 vs 2.3. So Friday i called around to find another, on my way to pick one up i stopped by my saab indepentant garage to see if they had 1, and the owner told me he just received a totaled 91 9000, and i can have the starter if i remove it (what a deal). So my son and i remove the started in a snow storm on Friday (for free) So i spent yesterday installing it, about 4:30pm i was done. Installed the battery and everything powered up (did not look at volt meter) but car did not start. Nothing, no click-click-click, nothing.

So where do i go from here? i was so frustrated that i gave up. After think about it more i could have put the jumper cables on to make sure the battery was not bad, but didn't, will try that tonight. The cold air is returning and since i am working outside i need to fix this tonite or tomorrow night at the lastest. Worst part about this whole situation is the wife has put more miles on my new-to-me 2000 aero than i have, i have to get back into my aero ASAP.

Thanks in advacne
