Nooo... This is the first car I'VE owned which has had A/C, by that I mean in the past I've had company cars whose problems were solved by main dealers as if by magic and regardless of cost... Now, as this is MY money we're talking about it starts to get serious haha
So - bearing in mind my ignorance I just went to my local a/c specialist who regassed it, commented on a 30% absence of gas.. hmmm he said there was also a dye in the remaining gas so it had been leak checked before.
In short, the pipes do get cold and the compressor apprears to be cycling correctly.
the temp control lever in the aquarium appears to react according to the temp setting on the ac panel, so I suspect my problem lies with the door inside the mixing box - which is why was trying to get the unit out... not doing too well and am starting to wonder if it was such a good move to start the job....
