motor from a dead start to high speed most likely will take out the 30 amp fuse protecting the circuit feed. The thermoswitch in the radiator makes and keeps the low speed first then the high makes. These switches only send power to the two relays in the fuse relay box by battery. Remove the relays, then their covers and plug them back in. First use a finger to push the contactor in the low speed relay to see if fan works. If not unplug the fan connector and measure the resistor on the fan support member. It can open (wire wound 50 watt resistor). If it works hold it in and make the second relay. You should get low and then high speed from the fan. If these work then you need to seperated therswitch plug (fun to get to) and use grd'd test wire to touch any one of the connectors in there after you have removed the high spd relay mentioned earlier. Prevents accidental H spd start. If you get low function and then keeping that one grd'd w/ H spd relay in place touch H pin in connector also. If works good then wiring is not corroded apart. (can happen) Measure to grd resistance on the connectors of same tswitch wiring connector w/relays removed. If grd on connector is a solid low ohm grd then replace tswitch on radiator. Past postings on this too.
