Where does the ext temp sensor originate from ??? Posted by JohnT [Email] ![]() ![]() |
Good morning all - AC operation is working fine, however, in this cold weather, when stopping the car in traffic, a long stoplight, etc, i experience cool air from the system. I am thinking the ext sensor is up against a hot spot within the engine compartment, giving the false reading (when there is insufficient air movement). As I get moving again, the sensor senses the cool outside air and heat comes back. I have read prevoius post and understand where the sensor should be located. Last night, I removed the lower panels under the 'scoop', saw the clip, but no sight of the sensor. I looked in the immediate vicinity, I see a wire going to the fan on the radiator, a lead going to the fog lamp .. ? Hopefully a simple question - where can I trace the lead back to so I can locate the sensor lead. Another great day to work on my car - should be about 20 degrees in the garage today !!!!
Thanks in advance
