Somewhat Serious Timing Chain Replacement Question

'86 9000 Turbo
Currently the timing cover side of my car is lying on the floor of my parents garage where I appear to be stumped. I disassembled the entire timing cover and all that jazz, cam sprockets, chain, drive sprocket, slides, tensioner, all of it. I went to put it back together, and in a just checking move, I checked tdc on the flywheel. It was sitting at about 25, not the 0 I had set it to in the beginning. So my question is this:
If I reset the flywheel to tdc while it's not attached to the cams, how do I know where tcd is on the cams?
Also, after noticing the flywheel being off of its mark, I moved it, the timing marks on the cams are straight up pretty much for both. I set the chain, as the haynes book says, yellow link on the tick mark on the drive sprocket and then the other two yellow marks on the timing marks on the cam sprockets. One problem, there are four yellow links on my new chain. I have the right one for the drive sprocket, but there are two yellow links right next to each-other, and I don't know which one to use. It's sitting right now with the intake cam timing mark in the middle of the two yellow links. If I move the chain one way or the other, it either becomes too tight or too loose between the two cam sprockets.
If anyone responds, I will be eternally grateful.
