I had this happen with my old '87 turbo. You'll want to do several things:
(1) pull the master cylinder and replace the rubber pieces. Several of the site sponsonrs sell Lockheed rebuild kits - I think they're less that $20.
(2) you'll then have to bleed the clutch system. In all likelyhood the clutch fluid has never been changed. You'll need to figure out how to apply higher than atmospheric pressure to the brake fluid reservior while opening the bleeder nipple on the slave cylinder. In this regard bleeding clutch is much like bleeding brakes, but generally you can't accomplish a decent bleed without applying pressure. I made a pressure bleeder out of a hardware stor garden sprayer for ~$25.
(3) if you still have trouble it is likely that the clutch slave cylinder has failed. This requires transmission removable but is entirely tractible. I have decent directions in adobe pdf format. Again the slave cylinder can be rebuilt with cheap seals, or you can buy a new one for less than $75 from site sponsors.
good luck
