I have a '92 9000 turbo, and swapped the analog clock for a digital one from a '94.
My '92 was pre-wired for the digital clock. The most I had to do was to cut a nylon zip tie that kept the appropriate connector bundled up with the rest of the wires leading to the clock.
There are 2 connectors that go to the analog clock. One has 3 leads, the other had 4. The 3 lead plug connects to the plug on the bottom of the digital clock, and the 4 lead connector will go unused. bundled up with the rest of the wires will be a 6 lead plug that you'll use to plug into the top plug of the digital clock.
Of course, all of this is relying on my (very) shady memory...
