I'm now new to the 9000 FPT boost, 'cuz I just upgraded my auto '95 LPT (CS) to a FPT after almost two years (finally!!!). But, the way my car is boosting seems a little odd and irregular, at least compared to my '96 900 SE. At low engine speeds (up to like 2800 rpm), it seems only to be at base boost. Then I get a huge and highly noticeable surge of power at about 3500 rpm, at close to WOT or at WOT. It levels off there and seems once again to be at base boost. Then, at about 5000 to 6000 rpm, I get another HUGE boost, provided I continue to stay at WOT. So, to recap, huge boost @ 3500 and huge boost @ 5-6000, with apparent base boost in between. Am I hitting overboost?? My indy did up my base boost to about 6 psi instead of the stock 3 psi a while ago and did not change it back when doing the conversion. Should it be changed back??? Anyone????
