Cuts out at max acceleration

I have just had BPC boost valve replaced and the car runs great. 1992 9000 Turbo. If i accelerate to the max, the engine cuts out for a second or so. Does this sound like a DI cassette (I think it is still the original with 100K) or a vacuum or fuel system problem? Any thoughts on going ahead and replacing the DI cassette? Any help would be appreciated.
