All,
I am not sure if I have permanantly fixed the (initially blinking) dash lights ( and then permanently out) dash lights, but after checking the dimmer switch (removing, cleaning) and checking all the voltages coming off the dimmer (poten. worked for all the leads) I again tried today to fix this situation. As I was about to engage in the 'dash removal, verify grounds, replace all lights project' and found out upon pulling out the dimmer switch (to check again!) that the dash lights flashed back on as I was re-connecting the dimmer to the white female, car side connector. THe leads were able to make a better 'connection' where the dimmer was not totally fitted up against the white connector', but again maybe about a 1/16" - 1/8" away from being fully engaged. As it is now, the tabs that are intended to lock the swith and connector together is doing a sufficient job at holding the two pieces together.

I read alot of post on this and frankly fell on this temp solution (I assume Ill have to go back and look at the connnector at another time) But wanted to only add this info for the next lucky person whos lights are blinking ! Again, I was about to jump into the dash project.
