Not wanting to make the situation worse than it is, and having had the experience myself, I feel BAD fogging such as is described here comes from more than just transpired or perspired moisture from the body... Either there's an interior damp problem caused by a leak or the heater core is shot... If I can ask, on what basis does your indy say the core's OK?? My core leak was quite small, but enough over time to leave a nasty crusty scum all over the core housing, and also to make the car constantly foggy - don't forget that a little moisture in that void around the core will make a lot of humid vapour... If you've a couple of dollars to spare, then why not try treating the coolant with Bar's Leaks - it might just postpone having to replace the core until the weather's improved...
When I was new to 9000 ownership (that seems so long ago now!) I had my AC charged and hadn't a clue how to tell if it was working or not ... an easy test is to start the AC while the car's running, open the hood and check that the compressor's running ok - then feel the feed tubes coming from the comp.. if the system's charged ok then one of them will start to get appreciably colder than the other... Seems basic I know, but it was something I was ignorant of until the A/C guy told me ...
Hope I'm not telling Granny how to suck eggs !!
