I went away for a for 10 days and left my 1993 saab 9000 aero sitting in the driveway. When I got back I couldn't wait to drive it but there seems to be two problems with it. I am hoping that someone may be able to offer some suggestions as to what is going on with my car and what i might need to do to fix it.
Problem One
When accelerating n any gear but first(not sure why it doesn't happen in first)I can only give it moderate gas otherwise the turbo gauge will soar right up to the red and I feel like the car has hit a brick wall for a second. Could it be the wastegate is not opening, how can I tell for sure? How much does that type of problem cost to solve?
Problem Two:
When taking a RIGHT hand turn in second gear(this only happens in second gear) the car will drop out of second gear in to neutral as soon as i try to accelerate out of the turn. So basically it is fine when decellerating and coasting, until i give it some gas. Also if i fully depress the clutch and then let off the clutch after the turn is finished i can accelerate with out it popping out of gear. any ideas what is happening.
Thanks Ben Vincent
