dim33's route seems a bit overly labor intensive. I have a changer in the truck/hatch area sitting in a homemade/custom enclosure in the area next to the toolkit. I have posted before years ago when I first installed it as it came out so well I had to tell the Saab world. Its actually a U shaped plastic section of CD rack, and in the bottom I fixed 6 springs of perfect resistance ( by taking the unit loaded with CDs to the hardware store and matching springs that support the weight ) in addition to the meager factory damping of the unit, these springs work flawlessly, I have yet to have it skip, and without the rig , it was nothing short of annoying with the Saabs stiff suspension and Northeast roads. Anyway the unit "floats" on the springs with closed cell foam guide shims on the sides to keep it in the upright position. The whole thing is velcroed to the trunk floor for access to the toolkit if needed. As far as the changer cable goes, I ran mine across behind/under the glovebox, down behind the molding on the passenger kick panel..under the doorsill molding...back doors the same..then under the rear seats ( make sure someone sitting in the seat wont pinch the cable, duct tape here ) and up the sides of the trunk area under the factory speakers to the changer. I ran a monster power wire to the Infinity Basslink sub on the other side of the trunk the same way down the driver side of the car. Manuals advise you to keep as much distance between these type of wires as possible to avoid interference. All this and a new Blaupunkt head unit and the sound is still mediocre...but I refuse to dump any more $$$$$ into it. Some say the cabin design is a no win no matter what you try to do.
