Notice how we all have different recommendations? Something in the water here really appeals to independent SAAB mechanics. There seem to be more of them than any other single-brand garages. Or perhaps I just notice them more. After doing business with a half-dozen, I'd first recommend East of Sweden, in Boulder. Mary runs the shop, transforming their greasy, dismal waiting room to a place of good cheer. If you tire of that, there's usually a decrepit 900 loaner available for joyriding. In Denver, Mile High Body Shop is the mothership. When other SAAB shops need a part, they get the call. They're quite competent, honest too, but their reputation is so strong that heir waiting list can get long.<p>WARNING- Never, ever risk a visit to Foothills Scandinavian, in Wheat Ridge. I can cite two examples of ill-advised or fradulent work from that shop (which does have a clean, just-redecorated waiting room). Soon you, too, will be an expert.
