Totally spaced out while cleaning out the master cylinder on my 89s and lost track of the orientation of the seal closest to the spring and the outlet port Seems like both lips should point to the port but dyslexic doubt has set in. Can't believe I didn't draw it before taking it apart. Spent quite a while trying to translate with babelfish that german repair manual someone posted only to discover that there was nothing on the cylinder. Lots of other good stuff though.
Also there was evidence of rubbing on the shaft and no shim under the forward mounting bolt as called for in the bulletin I found on the Townsend site.
