You'll need the AIC as well, which controls idle speed if you don't have TCS. And the cruise control system. Look for posts by Zeke as he has done this as part of engine swaps.
Overall, the TCS system is mechanically simpler than the "manual" system; since all functions are integrated into the throttle body there are fewer parts to deal with. It's just tough to find someone who wants to spend the time to understand it.
Most common TCS issues that can cause limp home mode:
1) leaking/missing/misrouted vacuum lines
2) broken TCS safety valve/and or check valve on the firewall ($75)
3) 91-92 had an older throttle body that was more problematic. Your 93 may have that as well, check the part numbers. From a SWEDECAR post:
"If the partnumber on the black side cover is 9109075, that's the old one, and it's a good ide to replace it, IF you have the money. If the P/N is 9170705, I think you are good to go." ($700)
Good luck, whichever way you go.
