My wheel fell off while i was driving!

This just happened. I was accelerating my saab from a cold start and got up to about 30 mph when something gave way and i couldnt move the wheel. it was a loud noise and a hiss so i thought i had intially thought that i blew a tire. i got out of the car, a 92 9000s, and saw that the wheel had separated from the ball joint and was perpendicular to the car. i could not believe my eyes. I couldn't move it to the side of the road, luckily it wasnt on an interstate. didn't hit a pothole or anything, it was completely spontaneous. just a really weird and scary experience. Lesson learned: get those socket joints checked everytime you get an oil change!
