low flow volume.
The heater core is its own radiator and should get the very first heat production from the engine. Flow reduction by plugged radiator or bad impeller fins on the pump now come to mind. There was some of our fellow Saabers coming up with some bad impellers being commented about in the past. That takes a pump rebuild kit on hand and then a look see. The rad can become plugged but if you look in the top port you should get an idea of how clean it is. I guess I need to rig a test up for measuring flow with my old spare. It is clean as a pin (93) because it had only distilled mixed with it's coolant fills but it developed a leak in a plastic header. Doe this help?
